Cool...except I'm trying to pick up some MPG's if I go with the Michelins. Going from a 35 I would think I'd still end up with better MPG's.

Also, I've never seen Toyo MT's up close until tonight...wow...those things look good. Tread looks extremely deep. What kind of mileage do they REALLY get?

I ran the Michelins LTX MS on my powerstroke and LOVED them the truck rode like a caddy and they were a 60,000 mile tire. When I sold it I had about 30 to 35,000 on them and there was still half tread on them. I will be putting these on my dually when the time comes.

They go about 30k. Another tire that u might be interested in is the Yokohama geolander ats. It is a good tire for highway use.
I posted this in another thread that the Geolanders came up and never saw any responses… how do they rank compared to the other AT’s and even some of the MT’s? A couple of years ago there was a lot of noise about them being "the next great thing," handle better on the road, better MPG then a set of BFG AT KO's, and still every bit as competent, if not more so in the messy stuff than the BFG's...

Then you didn't hear anything about them, they just about disappeared.

A friend of mine had them on his chevy but I never got to ride in it but he said that they were night and day better on the street then the BFG ATKO’s, but I worry that they’re not going to work well enough off road for me. They unfortunately don't look as aggressive as comparable tires, but they're really cheap compared to most comparable tires and if they really work that well they'll be in serious contention for my next set of tires.

I have a gas company that runs them on all of there half ton pumper trucks and wont run anything else.. They run on 75% gravel and have never gotten more than 15K out of a set of tires. I started selling these to them and they are averaging 35K. On all highway i have seen up to 80K out of them on 1/2 and 3/4 ton pickups. As for in mud they arent bad but there not gonna do as good as a rough tread. In my opinion this tire is far superior to the bfg at ko in every aspect. Hope this helps.

Ive had Michelin LTX M/S on my truck for 39000miles and will buy them again when the time comes--they travel smooth, have been excellent on snow/ice covered roads and are decent in mud. The improvement in handling when towing my gooseneck w/ livestock is very noticeable compared to my previous set of tires (sorry I cant recall what brand) and tires on other trucks that Ive pulled w/. I cant really tell you much about how they affected my MPG's but I do get 17.5-19 driving and depending on how much I feel like hearing that turbo sing, 11-16 towing. I got my truck aligned and tires rotated 3wks ago at the shop where I originally bought these tires and asked the mechanic, "how many more safe miles do these tires have left?"--I figured he'd have the best guess. He said they had at least 15K left on them--Im a bit tickled w/ the prospect of having tires that are worked as hard as mine, last more than 50,000.
Have a good weekend, Drew Stuart

i'm runnin the 295/75 cooper discoverer STT's not sure on the ST's... i love these tires, first time running them, get an easy 20-22 on the highway, and i haven't found anything they can't handle... mud, snow, rain, sand, and they are waaaaaaayyyyyy quieter than the BFG M/T's or the TOYO M/T's in my opinon... ohhh i've got about 12k on them... so far so good, hope to get 50-70k if i'm nice to 'em...

im looking at a set of Toyo Open Country m/t myself. iv talked to quite a few ppl with them and they got 60k and plus some with normal rotation and there mostly road trucks as well. I was looking at a set of Pro-Comp xtrerrian a/t's as well. there a good road tire and you get about 60k with them as well. there is a guy over at dodgeforums.com who is pushing 100k on his. just a thought there man.
