MICKEY THOMPSON ATZ + Questions

Just realized it came in a 315/70. looks like less aggressive than Nitto Terra Grappler A/T but more so than Dura Grappler.

Anyone running these? What kind of mileage you getting out of them? How about mpg? Better than BFG A/T, I presume?

Are they a load range E? Unable to find much info on it...

Well They have to types of ATZ. They have radial and radial plus I think. The radial is much more aggresive than the radial plus. I have the radial and my old man has the radila plus. Mine are much louder and ride quite a bit stiffer. Yes they are load range E. Only 20000 miles on mine but seem to be wearing good. Mpg... well mine are 35" so not real great plus the more aggresive the worse your milage is due to rolling resistance. I really like the looks of mine and would get them again. Hope this helps

I have them also, in 33's they have around 48K on them and are doing real good, they have atleast another 5-10 left on them! I would buy them again but i am wanting something more agressive the next time around, but they are a nice tire, the only bad i have found is they hold rocks something crazy!

The + is what I just realized came in 315. I was hoping it would ride better and have better mpg with the + tread style. Sounds like it does. Does your dad's also have the E rating? What size does he run?

Its crazy, but these things seem to have lasted forever! If i was smart i would buy another set, but i want something different this time around, its so hard also cause i have 17" aftermarket wheels and most everyone else have 18's and up, so comparisons are not that great!

Well his are actually on a new Jeep so they are not E rated but I think you can get them in an E. His tires are quieter and so there for I beleive the mpg's would be better with the +. He is running a 33" tire on 18 wheels. I have had the nitto tera graplers on three trucks now and if you run them on a 1500 they hold up fine but on a 2500 or bigger they were shot VERY quick. If your looking at both I would go with the MT ATZ much better tire but a little more $.

thanks- just found a guy an hour or so away selling a full set of ATZ (not +), 30% tread remaining, for $100.

Are they really loud when worn or not too bad?

thanks

turns out they were MTZ so i quickly cancelled the wheel order...

Another question- the Mickey T's supposedly run small (like most tires)

the 325/65 is supposedly 34.8 tall and the 36x15.5018 aka 375/60-18 is supposed to be 35.7.

Are they actually that tall?

thanks!
