whats required in shipping tires?

We have some tires for sale, preffered local pickup, but wouldn't be opposed to shipping if its as easy as I think.

Is it as simple as taking the tires to the UPS head place where they load the truck, throw them on and send them off? then recieve payment from the hopefuly honest man?

That's about right. Pay-pal is usually a pretty good option. But most people require payment before shipping

Got it. But overall shipping should be fairly friendly? Not to time consuming? It would probably move these tires out a lot faster (figure we'll give it awhile though).

Thanks for the help also.

If you ship them UPS ship each tire separate as it will be cheaper than bundling. My preference is bundling to a pallet and shipping FEDEX freight as that is the cheapest option usually.

This is true, keep 'em together so you don't have 3 show up and wonder where the 4th is

P.S. I see you're out being a brandon

So pretty much we can pick up a pallet from Home Depot and stack the tires (about a 400lb load total), than they come to the house, fork lift it in the truck and thats that?

I don't think they'll bring the forklift...... but I did this only once, the tires were wraped in plastic and dropped off at the dock. But they were'nt near that heavy.

Yeah we got some big tires. I guess we'll try and keep from shipping and only reduce the price as nessecary. Our friend has a forklift, maybe he could help us out.

Thanks guys, looks like I got what I was looking for!

I've shipped tires. They slap their sticker on the tire and away they go.
