Need feedback on these wheels

Anybody running these wheels? I like their look but I'm questioning buying them because I can't find any feedback on them? They are Desert Rattler Raton wheels. Any input would be appreciated.

Just a heads up, our local desert rat had some 20" ratons and they look kind of stretched (at leats to me).

find out if theyre cast or forged... if you do any type of offroading/mudding a cast will fail, if you hit something hard or for instance if a rock gets wedged between the wheel an the brake caliper itll break a cast wheel before it breaks the caliper

This is true, happend to my Granddads welds.

But to help out, they're forged.

Ive been searching the internet high and low for a good forged wheel with the right OS and BS in black for these trucks with little luck. I know forged wheels are supposedly lighter and stronger but but with the research Ive done there aren't many forged wheels out there and cast seem to be up to par.

If I remember correctly the forged centerlines, alcoa, weld, etc had a max weight rating of 3200-3400 lbs. The cast wheels, KMC 3200, Procomp 3400 and Raceline 3400, heck my next wheels are the walker evans and they are cast and have a 3800 lbs weight rating.

the next thing i looked at was the actual weight of the wheel. the forged usually came in only 3 to 4 lbs lighter (20'' wheel). on a sports car this is a big deal but the tires on these trucks differ in weight so much its not a factor. Toyo MT in a 35x12.5x20 is 80lbs and a bfg AT 325/60/20 (35.5") is 67. Most other tires fall some where in the middle.

I've read the 4x4 magazine reviews saying that forged are better but still havent seen definative proof to warrent the price difference. Even Greg Weld is using a low pressure casting in his new line of wheels.

I'm sure forged wheels are stronger if you compare two identical wheels but with modern casting techniques the margin seems to be narrowing. I had a set of 16.5x9.75 weld forged wheels on my superduty and i bent the front one pretty bad on the whoops at glamis. Ive hit the whoops pretty hard a few times with my cast KMC 20x10s and they have held up great. probably mostly because of the carli suspension though.

If someone could point me in the direction of a black forged wheel in the right offset/BS that can outperform the walker evans. Please let me know as I'm making the puchase shortly.

you got any pics or a link for those 20's? I've only seen the wheel in the pic I posted and it's hard to tell what size it is.
