retreads

I can't believe the price of tires!!! I have eaten a pair up a year. The same 35s I bought last year have gone up $79 a tire.

Was looking for a deal and found this https://treadwright.com/Tires-285_70R17_ATB-P74.aspx

Has anyone run retreads?

These look good and the reviews seem good as well.

Out of all the Gaters I've seen on the road, if you actually look there are Cords with just about every Gator. That's the tire that blew, not the retread.

Well, I ordered a set. Should be in next week and I will keep yall posted. Form some of the buyers reviews, they wear like Iron. Thats what I want. It makes me sick when people tell me they go 40000 miles on a set.

We have run retreads on semis for years. They have come a long way in the past years. If one does sling a cap it will beat the he!! out of your truck! Also you are liable for anyone elses car it damages if it seperates. There price difference is a benefit but as long as you know the risk involved and you are comfortable I say go for it.

My friend had some retreads on his half ton chevy and they lasted forever. He finally bought new tires, not cause the old ones were wore out but cause he had them so long he wanted a new tread design and was sick of the look!

Honestly I'd think that unless you're hauling alot or overly burning your tread off you'd have no problem with them separating...that's usually what causes them to separate on the big trucks is the tires getting hot from being over or under inflated or having too much weight on them and the heat separates the retread from the casing
