Can I run a 17x10 on stock tires?
I am wanting to get rid of my stock Dodge wheels and slowly transition over to 35" procomps and 17x10 wheels. I can go either way considering cost is the same. I can get my procomps first, put them on stock wheels and run those, or I can get my wheels first and run them on stock tires (if that would work). So, questions: on a 2" spacer lift will 35" procomps clear with the stock offset? Or do I need more to even drive it? If I were to go with the wheels first could I run them on stock tires? Or are they to wide? I don't have much money to spare (if any) but offroading with stockers sucks, and I need much more clearence to save me from damage.

You should be ok as long as you stay with the stock offset. I ran 315s 34.5 dia. BFGs with the 2 inch spacer and rubbed a little at full lock. I had them on 17x9 wheels but they were off set quite a bit.

If you think I'll clear with 35's on stock wheels thats what I'll buy first then. I would like to get the tires on there at least first because thats what it needs most. Then I'll get my 17x10" wheels. The 17x10's have a 5.03" offset, will this clear once I put them on with only 2" of lift? Or would I need to save more cash up and by a 4"?

Judging by your avatar pic it looks like you like to do some hardcore offroading. You might be better to get a taller long travel lift. You will rub abit on the back of the front wheel well with 17x10's with 5.03" of BS and 35's. Its the 10" rim and wider offset that will make it rub.

Let me note real quick that the truck in my avatar is not mine, but I do offroad pretty seriously with the truck (but no jumps or anything). I looked into kits like the spirson and such but I just can't afford that much for a lift. I really got about 3 grand to spend right now, tires wheels alone cost $2000 and I'm getting cheaper rubber, I figure if I end up liftig it more that will be at least another $1000 for a simple 4.5" Fabtec or similar. Really I am trying to do what I want slowly so I can afford it better.

I offroad though, so I'll stuff that tire to its max and want no rubbing.
