Title says it all . I was going to get the stock size in Couser CT s but after seeing 2500 cummins truck I think Im going to go the same route . They look great on his rig which is identical to mine. But I haul travel trailer + junk that adds about 13K to my truck . I just wondering if it changes the trucks feeling towing much?
Yeah I just want to ask , my 95 12v with a 5 speed I didnt noticed much hauling 14K peanut wagons when I went with 33x12.5s but never got up to highway speed with them. So I guess I just want a backup opinion .

I've only put about 100 miles on since the install, but just normal driving I can tell no difference at all. I also have a 10,000 lb. fiver that I pull, but I'm not expecting any change in performance. The biggest thing I need to do next is get the speedo recalibrated. It's off around 4-5mph, according to GPS.
BTW, thanks for the compliment. I'm very pleased with the way the look turned out.
i have ran 285's and i am currently running 33x12.50's the 285's there where no noticeable difference, i noticed a little difference in the 33's as far as handling and a little more floating with the truck on factory wheels, but my trucks prime fuel mileage was running the 285's so i say go for it...

Since your truck is an 06 like mine, I assume it came with E rated 265/70/17's. As long as the weight rating for the new tires is good with the weight you are pulling/hauling, the only difference you will notice is in the speedo, and maybe a little (~1) in MPG.
I recently purchased a used set of 35 X 12.50 mudders (D rated) w/ chrome H2 rims. The tires are on my truck w/ my stock rims for hunting season and winter driving. With no lift kit, the tires still look awesome on my truck, and no noticable difference in handling.
After I get them sized and blacked out, the H2 rims will be my summer rims (for my E rated tires to pull my 12K 5er). After adjusting for size, I lost 1-2 MPG in city driving, but picked up 3-4 on the hwy. Unfortunately, most of my driving is city. My next set will be 33 X 12.50's, as I THINK(?) those should be a happy medium for mileage.

Hey SundayMoney,I just got the 295 Toyo mt.They look great but wondering how they will effect my mpg.Have you noticed a diff.in mpg.?
I know I've lost some, but really haven't set down and figured it out.
I will say,the O/H is reading about 1.5-2mpg less than with the 285/70/17s I had on previous to the 295s. I don't think thats a very accurate measurement tool though.
I don't think its so much the difference in height,as the difference in weight. The Toyo M/Ts weigh a ton more than either the stockers or 285 Nittos.
I made a trip to TN this past weekend with a couple of buddies to ride the ATV's. I had a 16ft tandem axle car trailer with 3 quads on it, some gear in the back and us three in the cab. I have made this trip several times before with the same variables.
On this trip, I noticed no loss in power due to the bigger tires. Granted, I wasn't hauling a whole lot, probably 4,000 lbs at most. But, mpg did drop 1 mpg from the previous trips. I use to make that trip at 14.5 mpg, this trip was 13.5.
I lost 2 mpg when i went to the 285 cts, plus they are noisy and i only got 25k out of them. I just put a new set of 295 nitto terra grapplers on and i like them so far.
