lets see pic 35's,315, 305, tires

well i just bought stock 08 polished wheels and now i wanna get tires. about a 35 or a 315-70-17 or a 305-70-17. im going to do a leveling kit. i have 315-70-17 now and they rub a little bit. i really dont want any rubbin. gonna get an all terrain tire. thinkin about bfg at ko's or the nitto terra graplers. i work at a tire store and i get a hell of a discount so money isnt a real big issue. any suggestions?
pics of trucks with around these size tires would be helpful

i think most anything you get on the stockers over 285s are gonna rub. mine rub a little before full lock. if you want the bigger tires you'll need different wheels. of course there are some that are going to say that theirs doesn't rub at all....my .02

Mine rub just slightly on the driver control arms at full lock. You cant tell inside the truck when it does it, you can just see the clean spot on the arm.

will 35 ever hit the fender or bumper with stock wheels on a 3rd gen? I can deal with rubbing on the control arm, hate to tear up the fender

i highly doubt it unless your off roading maybe. i had the same set on the above pic when i first had my 3rd gen with plenty of room.

here's a old picture for reference..

I have had my truck in some nasty twisty spots and I have never rubbed the fender or the bumper. It probably wouldnt rub the control arm if you bought an adjustable trac bar.
