Thumbs up Dually with 35s

I may be trading my truck in for a 2003 Silver 3500 that is stock. The first thing I am going to do is rock starts (chrome or black, not sure yet) and 35s. I was thinking about going with the nitto mud grappler again or the mickey thompson atz to get more miles out of them.

does anyone have pics of their 3500 with a leveling kit and 35s....

thanks!

The 305 x 85's are tall and skinny so that helps, I put 3" spacers up front and superload springs(basically a heavier spring pack) in the rear. I heard the company that made them is gone OOB, but I saw a set on ebay last month for 500.00, so they can still be found. I run a single 1/2" spacer between the rear tires and didn't shim the front out at all. I have 3/4" between the rears and don't rub on the front either direction when I turn. I will say these tires feel "squirmy" when you first put them on, but you get use to it quickly. I wanted the big aggressive mud tire, but didn't like them sticking out past the fenders, I bought a set of fender flares for a single wheel off ebay and modified them to fit a dually.
Hope that helped
The truck gets alot of attention, my kids love riding in it and my ol' lady looks awful good driving it.:thumbsup

You can pull the inners in, too, if you can weld and have a drill press. Those flares look slick. I heard you could make 'em fit, but wasn't convinced. Mebbe I'll have to order a set. I clear 35x12.5 (315x75r16) on mine with a leveling kit and the rear wheel mod.

I used to run this size with 2" spacers on the rears, but the width and funky flexy flares convinced me to find another way. I like the width on the tires for floating the frontend. If your new mudders are squirmy on narrow rims, sometimes it is because only the center lugs are contacting the pavement. Take a look at the tread, and air down as necessary to offset this. Using narrow rims, with wider tires has a tendency to pull the outside lugs off the pavement. Airing down just a little may help make them contact evenly. ESPECIALLY on the rear.

I'll try the airring down, never thought about that. I run 70 psi.

The flares weren't that hard to fit, just took a heat gun to the light area and pressed it in
