What Brand Tires.....

I am going to be buying new tires within the next 2 weeks, to replace my BFG AT KOs.....

I am going with 35x12.50R17 (since I think 37s will look too stuffed with my 4.5" lift kit) and ditching the 315-70R17s.

Which tire would you choose and why:
-BFG MT KM2
-Hankook DynPro MT
-Cooper Discoverer Radial STT

They will be going on this:

I have the cooper STTs on my truck right now. Nice ride, not too loud, I only run them in winter though, so not sure on mileage on them yet.

No experience with the others you have listed. Good luck with them :thumbsup

I'm not a big fan of BFG truck tires, so I wont offer my opinion there. I'm on my second set of STT's and I love them. I've also had a friend with the other MT's and he seemed to like them. I really dont think you could go wrong with any of the three, just pick the one you like best or whatever is best priced for your budget and enjoy them.

Any problems with the Cooper STTs chunking, wearing extremely fast, or not being able to balance?

Out of the choices you listed, the Cooper STT tires are the best. I'm running them right now and am very happy with them.

I don't know how good the hankook's would be on a 3/4 ton but i had em on a Ford Ranger and they went 50,000 miles and for a mud terrain that's pretty good though the truck is extremely light, have you thought about Toyo's?

I am running a set of the older BFG M/T right now. I'm leaning toward the Toyo m/t's next time. I've heard a lot of people say you're suppost to get better life out of them. Plus I think you can get them in a 10 ply?? Not sure though.

i have the cooper STT's 295/70R17's love them!! quiet highway ride, fantastic in the sand, fantastic in the mud. haven't really found anything bad about them yet... maybe the price. but they're all getting up there in cost. i've got nearly 10k on these, and probably have at least 30-40k to go... good luck.
