Singles On Duallys?

I was wondering how guys are going from a 6 wheel set-up to a 4 wheel set-up on their duallys.

I am looking for some 18x12s with 325/65R18 Firestones or Mickey Thompson ATZ's. The Pacer 185 rims have about 4" backspace so they should fit just right.

Wouldn't you have to change out the rear axle?? Think the DRW are wider than the SRWs... or have some crazy amount of backspacing.

DRW have slightly wider axle. Maybe 4-6", 2-3" per side.

With duals you are looking at 7-8" backspace on inside wheel, 7-8" "frontspace" (not sure of proper term) on outside wheel.

the 18x12 has about 4 or 4.5" backspace, meaning 7.5 or 8" on front side. Should line up just right compared to stock outside tire.

GrassTruck.com is coming out with 20x11 super single wheels for 1 ton duallys soon. They already make them for 450 and 550's. It appears just like dually rims they just flip them for front use so they tuck in nicely.

Oops- here is the best link to find the wheels. New Products.:.GrassTruck.com

But I will be going with 18's myself, and keeping 235's or running 255's up front since I have 2wd.
