Just ordered tires

Been looking and was waiting for a Ebay vendor to get back to me for tire availability. It's been 4 days.

I clicked on the Discount Tire link in the Tire section here and checked on tire prices and they was as cheap as the Ebay vendor would have been. Decided to order and gues what??? Free UPS shipping!!!

Saved $150 bucks right there from the Ebayer!!

I went with the 355/65-18 Kumho A/T. $230 each you can't go wrong.I have them now in the 325 size and LOVE them. Almost 40,000 on them and they are good for another 20,000.

why so wide

I am curious why you want such a wide tire.

I have 325 60 18s on my quad cab now & HATE them.

When I replace the tires I am going to nothing wider than 305s.

I have the same size as you and I really like them. You didn't say what you hated about them. I have kumho's now, they are quiet and wear excellent(40,000 now) good for 20,000 more.
A 355 is 13.97 wide and 37 in height. I think a 37 by 12.50 is too thin. 37x14 is a good looking tire. I don't like the pizza cutter look.

too wide

wide tires are crappy for winter traction...I travel on snowy & icy winter roads Nov till April & the wide tire distributes the weight over too wide a contact patch. In addition to the loss of traction it is just unnecesary rolling resistance that hurts mileage.

also my truck has Power Wagon flares on it....they were on the truck when I got it; the 325s stick out too far & toss a lot of rocks...I even broke out my passenger side front window on a fluke rickochet. Any time there is a little moisture on the roads the sides of the truck get filthy.

I wish tire companies would make an 33-34" tall tire in a 295 width...that would tuck under nicely. Right now you have to settle for the too narrow 275 70 18 or move all the way up to a 305 65 18....no 285 or 295 18s that I can find.

There are no fittiment issues on my truck; I have 18 x 8.5" wide wheels with 325 60 18s Toyos on there now. Wheels have 5" BS & they cleared easliy even before the Carli Starter system I had installed.

Too each there own but for the driving I do 325s are too wide.

ah hah...a winter guy...that makes sense...toyo makes the mt in 297/70/17...33x11.5...that's an inch thinner...i think that is about as narrow as you're gonna get unless you run those specality swampers...i think the ltb comes in 34x10.5...just saw you got 18's...guess none of this helps then

Also Nitto makes a really nice 295/70 terra grappler that isnt bad...but the most amazing tire ive run through blizzards with is BFG all terrain...supperb snow and icee traction like no other ive ever had.:thumbsup that also make a good variety of sizes you can sneak in those wheel wells.
