Slave Cylinder problem Need advice

99 dodge cummins 5-speed NV4500 my clutch pedal is on the floor and will not release the disc from the flywheel enough for me to shift. its dragging. I added an inch to the slave cylinder rod. I got my pedal back but the clutch wants to slip. I cannot make it any shorter because it will drag. its dragging but I can shift. Is there an after market slave cylinder that can push my 3800 series Valair pressure plate. Or is there another problem. (the disc is in correctly, the fork isnt bent, the input shaft is fine- no nicks and not expanded) Please tell me your thoughts

Do you have the HD hydraulic assembly or are you still using the stock hydraulics?

first of all dont slip the clutch, it will destroy it, there is something wrong, could be air in the system, sometimes when you remove and replace the slave it suck's some air, put the stock rod back in or shorten it to original length, pump the crap out of it and let it sit with the cap off. Look in the resivour and see if it is cloudy or clear. Cloudy would be a sign of air in the system. We do also sell prebled systems, dont try to replace components, and if that doesnt work give me a call at the office. 940-327-0682 Dan

Mine was doing that yesterday when i went to class....looked like an idiot because i couldn't shift and would have to kill it to get it in gear and then crank it to move. It just needed some fluid!!!
