Do they do emissions tests on diesels in texas? Thinking about doing DPF/EGR delete

Do they inspect the emission system on the 6.7 liter in texas, or do they just look underneath the truck to see that all the emission stuff is still there?

At this point the only thing they do is the safety inspection. No emission tests YET. Just a side note I have added a air horn to my truck and the safety tech at A. Samuels in Katy failed my truck because the horn was TOO LOUD. ha ha! I had to crawl underneath and disconnect the air lines to get it passed.
