Clutch problems 5.9 5-speed Nv4500 Help!

I have a 99 cummins 3500 4x4, I slipped a LUK clutch disc pullin the "IRONMAN". I figured it was warped because it wouldnt completely disengsge to let me shift. I took it out and it looked like an umbrella LOL. So I got a Valair kit with the 3800 pressure plate and installed it. But... Im having the same problem. My pedal is on the floor and it still wont completely release to let me shift. Its brand new... 6 days old. Weak slave cylinder?? (oh, the disc is not in backwards for sure). Does anyone know whats wrong??

try bleeding slave cyl. check for bent fork, warped input shaft, worn input shaft where release bearing sits, sticking fork pivot, did you machine the flywheel

I guess the 3800 is a duel disk. With a 3800 pound plate load you stock hydraulics are not strong enough. Call valair up and see if they offer the up grade if not call Peter at South Bend Clutch. On my stock hydraulics and my 3600 DD I did not even make it a week before they went out.

we have a 3800 diaphram as well, it does sound like a hydro issue, try to blled them as best as you can, if you replace them go the complete prebled system, we do offer a heavy duty prebled system.

Hey I apreciate the suggestions, Im going to take it all back down this weekend and see if I can better diagnose the problem. the bent fork theory has been a pretty common response. Ima check it out. I was testing my knowledge a couple days ago and added a 1/2" to the slave cylinder rod. That put the petal 4" off the floor, But The disc wanted to slip at high torque levels. So.... Bent fork?

Negative on the Dual disc, its a single rated at 900HP. Im thinking strongly that the fork is bent. I was tinkerin with it when I added 1/2" to the end of my slave cylinder rod. This brought my petal up but the disc would try to slip at high torque levels. Bent fork?? Ill find out Saturday. Its cummin apart.
