what gear ratio do I have?

I have a 2007.5 dodge ram 2500 6.7 liter cummins turbo diesel truck with a 6 speed auto. Totally stock. 2 wheel drive.
it runs 1700 rpm at 65 mph.
4:10 rear differential gears?

i'd say 3.73 or higher like 3.43, something inbetween there.

I tried to build a truck on the dodge website to see what gears they would allow. The only one that it would allow for the diesel option was the 4.10 ratio.
What do you think?

Should be a sticker in the glovebox that'll tell you what ratio it has.

But, it sounds like 3.73's. That's the standard for about 80% of these trucks.

Does it not say in your glove box what gears you have? I think that it should have 3.73’s in it.

NO I checked it only has a sticker that warns you about the air bag. I couldn't find anything in the owners manual.

Mark the tire and drive shaft

Take some chalk and mark the tire and mark the drive shaft. Park the truck on a level surface and put the truck in neutral. Have someone push the truck forward one tire revolution (use the mark on the tire to verify one revolution). At the same time, you can get down (lay on a creeper, be safe though) and count the number of driveshaft revolutions that occur with one revolution of the tire. You should be able to tell the difference between 4.10's and 3.73's.
