what gear ratio do I have?
I have a 2007.5 dodge ram 2500 6.7 liter cummins turbo diesel truck with a 6 speed auto. Totally stock. 2 wheel drive. it runs 1700 rpm at 65 mph. 4:10 rear differential gears? Last edited by 2007 cummins 6.7 liter : 08-26-2008 at 08:41 PM. Reason: wrong title |

i'd say 3.73 or higher like 3.43, something inbetween there.

Should be a sticker in the glovebox that'll tell you what ratio it has. But, it sounds like 3.73's. That's the standard for about 80% of these trucks.

Does it not say in your glove box what gears you have? I think that it should have 3.73’s in it.

Mark the tire and drive shaft
Take some chalk and mark the tire and mark the drive shaft. Park the truck on a level surface and put the truck in neutral. Have someone push the truck forward one tire revolution (use the mark on the tire to verify one revolution). At the same time, you can get down (lay on a creeper, be safe though) and count the number of driveshaft revolutions that occur with one revolution of the tire. You should be able to tell the difference between 4.10's and 3.73's.
