Texas Cummins Brothers and Sisters

I need expert help becoming a winter Texan. Last year My wife, myself, the dog and my Glide spent 2 weeks in the valley and I guess it was OK but we stayed 3 days in Kemah and 4 days in the Portland and I thought both of them had more to see and do. We are not yet into the planned campground activities unless it's cocktail hour or a group bike ride but we usually find those at the local Harley shop or just ask someone at a restaurant or bar. The reason I am asking you is there is winter Texans and there ARE winter Texans. You know the best places and the best people (and they all have Dodge TD's) Please PM or leave a message here and I promise I will REALLY appreciate everyone's input.See yall (see I am trying) in January

Anytime of the year the Frio River is awesome. And alot of people ride up there. I go about 5 times a year! The entire river is amazing, but I prefer an area between "First crossing and Third Crossing" aka Seven Bluff(Ranch) to Neal's (campgrounds). Neal's food is outta this world.

Also, there is the Texas hill country, that is beautiful. Lot more to do here in the summer though. I will prolly blow this thread up in a little while but I just can't think right now.

For winter Texans id say Garner State Park, maybe stay a while in Bandera, fun town if you like to kick back and party, and they welcome "winter Texans aka snowbirds" with open arms with many places to park a trailer as well as motels and cabins. and in feb in San Antonio is the Stock Show and Rodeo, anybody anyage can have tons of fun up there, i know i do. Maybe head up to Fredricksburg and hop the micro brewerys, and Gruene hall and Luckenbach, all I can say is get yourself a good travel guide there is more than plenty to do here just depends on your tastes. Have fun and best of luck!
