ranch hand bumper

i had to ask my fellow native texans this question.

i just put a nice looking dent into my front bumper

I have been tossing around the idea of putting a ranch hand bumper on my truck and i think the moment has arised to go ahead with the idea. i want to look into a bumper that removes the factory one and replaces it with a ranch hand. I have a 06 4x4 SWB, so hopefully nothing to aggressive but something noticable.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction will be helpful

are you looking for specifically for a ranch hand? I have always had ranch hands but I love being different so this last time I went with tough country out of El Campo very nice heavy duty bumpers also you have T3 truck accerssories down in Uvalde ummm you have Frontier Gear they are built in the hill country, and a few more here and there. It all depends on what style your looking for I guess. If you are wanting the ranch hand route you can buy there blemished bumpers for almost half the regular cost. In a nut shell I have never had a truck that I havent put a bumper on I believe it is just cheap insurence, as much as I drive with deer and bump gates etc... Never noticed a drop in fuel milage either. On my 99 2wd though I had some ball joint a tie rod issues from the extra weight, but these bumpers have come along way as far as weight is concerned I guesscause with my 03 it was also 2wd and never had a lick of trouble. Basicly find the look your going for and good luck!

The Frontier bumpers are very light weight. No pipe used in them. RanchHands are expensive and can be hard to find. To me, Tough Country is just a massive bumper, doesn't even attempt to match body lines. Nothing wrong with that, they look good, but not really my style. T3 makes a decent bumper. Browns makes a good bumper. South Texas Outfitters make good looking bumpers.

Top Gun is rather new on the scene. I have one on my 08 Duramax. Its big and heavy, but I like it. Fits body lines somewhat. They aren't very cheap tho.

Top Gun bumper for your truck...

x2 on extra insurance. My 08 dmax was 3 weeks old and I took out an 8 point buck at 65mph. All i had to do was clean the blood and hair off my Top Gun bumper. eat that deer

thanks i forgot about those, all good choices!! hope this helps you find the style your lookin for, only thing south texas outfitters are in San Antonio and only build the bumpers when ordered so might be a lil expensive to ship to LA

I have always LOVED my South Texas Outfitters bumpers. Maybe more so that my Ranch Hands in the past. Either way it is a good call.

That Top Gun on that dually hangs WAY too low, IMHO. Looks pretty heavy duty though.

Hey Cajun if you're still in San Diego look around El Cajon and you'll find most of the above mentioned bumpers. I don't recall specific names but look in the phone book.
