doesnt the truck come with an oil pressure gauge aready in the dash?

yep, but its not too accurate.
i have a manual, so opted for the
oil pressure instead of trans temp.

about how accurate is it compared to you aftermarket one?

it seems more accurate.
you can see the fluctuation of the pressure
more. not sure if thats good or bad

that power plug looks similar to what i have on my truck! Mine is not tapped into the brake controller though. It is a kill switch for the truck. If you remove it and try to start the truck it will not turn over! I could be wrong, but that is what mine does! Guages look great!

hey natural, thanks for that, im going down to my truck right now to see if thats what the deal is with the controller.

it has two different " power plugs " so wonder what the difference is.
ill post back up in just a second.

**EDIT**

no go on the no start when plug is out.
ill check the wiring when i get home.
