mufler delete

has anyone that used the muffler delete and made a straight pipe had any issues with texas inspection ?

any grief or denial of inspection sticker due to lack of some sort of muffler ?

looking to get the muffler delete from geno's garage and wanted to see if i would run into issues with having no muffler.

thanks fellas.

I've never had any problems with it! and I have been pulled over so many times you can't even keep count! so if the cops wont say anything then the inspection people wont!!!

They have never checked me. I don't think it is required to have a muffler for a diesel truck to pass inspection because it is a safety related only inspection. No emissions test.

williamson county does to an emissions test on the vehicle, so thats what i was wondering about.

i have never seen them actually look under any of my vehicles to check for a muffler, they just plug into the ecm outlet to check for engine codes, etc..

anybody in williamson county ( round rock, hutto ) have any ideas ?

thanks guys for the input, probablly wont have any issues. im gonna call and ask around.

*** edit ***

just called my mechanic at firestone auto care, he said that diesels do not require a muffler, so muffler delete is okay.
