EDGE EZ for 5.9L

buying this from a friend for $200 who upgraded to the
6.7L.
anything i need to know about with this product ? i " plan " on keeping the setting on economy for a bit since my ride it totally stock.
the manual says its pretty user friendly, but you have to pop the hood to change the settings or no. ?
also, if anyone wants to give a hand on the install, it would be most appreciated.

thanks.

Make sure you get the right one for your truck. You need the one for the 600 series engines. It has an incab switch. The ones for the older trucks had the settings in the box under the hood.

the install is straightforward. i've tried the box on all power settings and i couldn't tell a very big difference in power or fuel economy so i just set mine on the highest setting and it's performed flawlessly

alright, got it installed today.
one thing i have a question on -

when i bought it, the washer with the tab on it that denotes what level the box is on was loose, so dont think that it was showing the correct.
how would i know what level ( 1, 2, or 3 ) other than gaging by the seat of my pants ?

Wasn't there a little groove that the washer sat in? I forget. You should be able to tell which one is high and which is low by the seat of your pants then just put that level up.

i really looked hard on it, but i didnt see anything on the raw toggle that said either way. i guess ill keep it on level 2 and not worry about it.
