Holy Hell.... WHY?? Is there a HX50 with stock injectors! I have an hx40 and de-tuned the truck to stock injectors till I got new injectors and the lag was insane! I could only build 15-18 lbs of boost where as before it would hit 40 with 100hp injectors and a TST.
It depends on where you want to do with your truck. If its just a pulling truck by some 200-240hp injectors and about $5,000 of supporting parts. If its a daily driver/ weekend warrior get some 100-150hp injectors and a programmer. But the turbo is still going to have a lot of lag. Your best bet is to get a diff turbo. You can buy a stock hx-35 for cheap and you will have almost instant boost with small injectors and a mild chip, and it should be ok for about 325-350hp to the wheels.

Get some gauges so you can see whats everything is doing. When I had the stock injectors my egts were almost running hotter cause I couldn't build enough boost and move cooler air through the motor. Do your self a favor and take care of the weak links on your truck first. I started added HP before I did and it cost me a injector pump and a tranny. Get a good fuel pump, make sure you keep that VP-44 fed and if you are running an automatic it wont hold much more than stock power for long. Do a shift kit at least or get a valve body and torque converter. But I would really look into getting a diff turbo, you could prob buy a hx-35 for $175-$300 bucks, but your down pipe prob wont match it.... You could try to get an HX-40 or someones used aftermarket turbo that would fit your down pipe. But bottom line you need a lot of fuel to spin that turbo, and it could prob build enough boost to easily blow a head gasket. A smaller turbo will suit your need a lot better.

You're gonna have a lot of lag with that turbo even when you throw some fuel at it. You are gonna need a lot of fuel for that thing. Go and get a dual disk (if standard) a built auto (if auto), 200+hp sticks, smarty, fuel box, o-rings, and studs. Then you will be good to go.
