Honestly, I'm as confused as you are.

When I asked for some info on the AQ flash, this is what they gave me. I realize (now ) that it had nothing to do with the actual flash.

I was also told that there is no way to give me anything as far as paperwork regarding flashes because all they (you) do is hook up the Starscan tool and it does it's thing.

It's a little aggravating to not know what to look for as far as performance with my truck.

I'm still hearing that I seem to be the only person on the forums who has had it done.

No, I had it done this last Tuesday. It's to do with soot and EGR, DPF regens. They also did a trans reflash for hash shifting which has helped a lot, mileage did go uo alittle aswell.

AQ Flash Question

I brought my truck to the dealer for the second occurance of the 2262. I got the turbo tap and cleaning.

I asked the dealer to update the ecm to the latest 6235 1235 AQ flash for my '08 QC 4x4 6.7L Auto. After picking up my truck I noticed that it said the ECM had the latest update, but I know my truck only had the AP flash.

I called the dealer and asked why they weren't able to update to the AQ flash, after he checked with the mechanic he called me back and said the AQ flash was pulled and wasn't able to be installed.

He also said he had a truck that had the AQ flash in for service and since the AQ flash was removed from release they had to back level the truck to the AP flash which I didn't think they could do.

Does anyone have better information on the AQ flash?

Thank you to all who read and reply...

Bob

I can't understand why this AQ flash is so elusive to us all. Why can't the dealers tell us what the heck it's for? Makes no sense.

Because the dealers do not know. Chrysler does not provide much information on these updates. Sometimes if its part of a TSB the dealer may get a short comment but not all that informative.
