Hey ram2500 the dealer cost in my area is 120 or try (transmission parts usa) there price is about 50 bucks. If this is pertaining to the 1-2 shift hunt at light throttle or dealer service bulletin TSB 21-009-07 It would be wise to also get the governor pressure sensor as this more then likely is the problem, Its another 50 bucks but money well spent. Don't do like I did and trust the service bulletin or you will be taking the pan off again and 4 more quarts of tranny fluid.

ok I'm going to order the Transmission governor pressure sensor and the Transmission overdrive & lockup solenoid because it looks they need to be replace together or at least thats how transmission parts usa has it listed. Does all this sound right?

Hi All - First post on the forum. I have an 07 5.9 2500 4x4 with this same problem, I found the this site and the technical bulliten when it started to switch between 1st and 2nd. I've just scheduled my 3rd appointment with the local dealer to get this fixed. Everytime they say it's been fixed and tighted up the shifting bands, and for the first couple months it runs perfectly, but....

The truck is still under warranty so I'd like to get it fixed with no cost, but I'm almost to the point that I want it fixed and don't really care what the costs it.

You guys have any suggestions on what I should do?

Thanks,
Terry

Just posting an update, I adjusted trans bands and replaced both governor pressure sensor
and overdrive & lockup solenoid followed by a new filter. Trans is now shifting normal. Thanks for the help

i had similar problems and it was a valve body problem, not tranny, wouldnt shift until after redlining for a while i had to be really easy on it and just put around before it would shift

my 06 with 50K on it has the normal 1-2 search problems...i was told by the dealer when i bought it that the trans and the engine were covered under the powertrain/drivetrain warranty. my truck has never had a programer on it so is the trans really not covered?

Governer solenoid is the fix for the 1-2 shuttle shifting on your 06
