trouble Code p1688
My Dodge is a 2000 2500 with Cummins 24 Valve. It has been starting & running great till Thursday when the engine shut down in the intersection, would not start back, I put a obd reader on it & got a p1688 which says ECM has dectected an internal failure of rhe fuel inj pump Module, or failed inj pump, thursday evening it also gave a po253 code which didnt show up yesterday evening, it said pump metering control A low cam-rotor- injector. Has anyone had this problem with a 2000. help please, $1,500 or so is a lot of money for me, being on social Sec. Thanks Oldie 63
