TIPM and Reverse Lights

I just tought I would post this in case it happens to anyone else. I will try to shorten this as much as I can. After having my local dealer reflash my ECM for a re-accurring CEL they cleared any codes in both my ECM and TIPM and in doing that it set my TIPM back to the factory settings, which cancelled all of my customer preferences (daytime running lights, key off power feature, and high idle). I took the truck back the next day to enable those features again and in doing so my reverse lights stopped working. They are controlled through the TIPM and for the life of the tech he could not figure out how to turn them on other than manually doing it through his StarScan tool. After 11 days at the dealer they finally figure it out. The TIPM thinks that my tranny is an auto when in fact it is a manual and would not allow them to be turned on. StarScan had to send my tech a file to load into his scanner to load into my TIPM to tell it to turn on the lights. Apparently StarScan said that this has only happened a few times and not enough to warrent a TSB. Anyway I just thought others my benefit from my nightmare. Don't you just love technology
