I have a april manufactured 07 so mine was 1 of the first 6.9's out. It had the AE flash done from factory. I had a couple codes pop up at 16k miles but nothing to do with DPF. just minor stuff like the wrong key code and stuff. They flashed it to AO then and fixed the problem and never had a CEL since i got my exhaust. lol now its been on for 20,888 miles. lol. but thats another story. I currently have AV as I was a flash freak back then hoping for better MPG. Im scared to get the AX now cause of my exhaust. I have not once never had a overhead reading other thenoil change. But i do have soot all over my rear quarter panel and im smoking like a 5.7. lol But then again, this is a work truck, never gets driven around empty. i always have a 22k load and im all hwy. So maybe thats why i been so lucky. There is nothing different from the 07 and 08 other then minor ecm changes. and badges and dash panels. |

I have a 2007 6.7TD also and I have had the same exact problems. The turbo was replaced and they keep uploading new software to get the check engine light to go out. Within a few thousand miles its back on. I just bought a scanner today to check my own codes. The one that keeps popping now is for the EGR Cicuit Low. Evwerytime they reboot it they tell me "That should take care of it". I love the truck except I hate looking at that annoying light all the time. If I have to see the light anyway I might as well remove all that crap and get a little better performance

Start by venting the crankcase to the atmosphere instead of into the turbo. This removes all the oil that coats everything from the turbo to the intake manifold. Then run your truck with the e brake on all the time. this will keep it from sooting up and getting stuck. Then if you want to get some better fuel economy you can block the egr, remove the butterfly and unplug the connector to the egr valve. You must have a Juice w/Attitude to clear codes though or you will have the check engine light on all the time. But this is not recommended if you are concerned with going back and forth to the dealer. Takes about an hour to do the mod and you will need to put it back when you go in. I have also done the H&S DPF delete kit. I have gotten 3 mpg increase by doing these mods and No worries about a DPF clogging up. BTW, when I first straight piped my truck, I had to put it back together for the G30 recall, I had 2 codes that would not clear. The local dealer said I needed a NEW dpf as this one was clogged. NOT!!!! It haden't even been on the truck so I know it wasn't clogged. When I told them it wouldn't run if it was clogged, they just told me I had to sign a waiver if I took the truck because it would damage the dpf and void the warrantee. I (LOUDLY) told them they were not going to hold my truck hostage so I would sign away my warranty rights. I had me keys in 2 minutes and took it to a dealer who was Horse power friendly. If your truck runs strong, the dpf isn't clogged. They make $3000 every time they change one of those out. Just an FYI.

Loss of 1.6 MPG after Flash
Just took my truck in for a check engine light. I had thought my days of doing that were past as has not happened in a while. Anyway after the soot cleaning, replacement of two sensors and a flash my mileage plummeted by 1.6 MPG. Since nothing else has changed I went back to dealer and talked with Tech. He said current flash opens something in the fuel flow at idle and turbo. He could easily see a 1-2 MPG drop based on this. Dodge did not include this in the bulletin but he is calling Monday. If this is true I want mine back to the old flash. Is that possible? I can't live with moving from 17.5 down to 15.9 for my daily driving. Suggestions |

Code
Under my hood it says 55350/05 AT. Not sure if that is the last one. Is that what they do? Erase the old and add newest? On my bill it says 18190427 Reprogram ECM and 11500292 Exhaust Aftertreatment and Reprogram PCM. 11500190 Preform Desoot Procedure B. |

I am kind of surprised as I think they are up to the AX flash by now. I assume your truck is a 2007.5.... I didn't think the AT was still available. Can any one else chime in on the latest flash? I did hear a while back that the AX flash helps on fuel economy but I am so distrusting of the Dealer that I can't get my self to go and have it done! Thanks

/on topic The new 6.7s are hit and miss for issues. If you are having continuing issues then i recommend deleting the EGR / DPF and getting the truck running right that way.
