06 air,exhaust and tuner question

Hello,Just joined the site and had a few questions, I have a stock 06 3500 which I use to tow campers for a living and need better fuel mileage.

1. would it be a good idea to use a drop in after market air filter and drill holes in the stock air box.

2.also whats the poor mans way of upgraing the exhaust without buying a 450 dollar kit.

3.which tuner is the best for fuel mileage dont care about hp just incresed mileage,I was told that the superchip flashpaq was the best and will not hurt the longevity or dependability of the engine.

any input on these questions would be greatly appreciated....thanks,

06 3500 325 hp quad cab long bed 4x4 6 spd manual all stock at present avg 700 miles a day 5 days a week

1-amsoil dry drop in filter 2- muffler delete 3- Smarty jr. If truck still has warranty these do not leave a mark in the computer. Superchips do. Jr has 3 levels, economy, tow, and extreme-40,70,100 horse. I love mine. Havent checked the milage yet. Fill out your sinature so we can tell what U have for a truckIf your interested pm me I have a muffler delete pipe and a predator tow box that I believe is 60 horse for sale. On my six speed, i was gettin 21=22 mpg empty and pullin my 31 ft Travel trailer-14-16mpg with just the box-no smarty or muff delete.
