Is this total B.S. or what?

I e-mailed Chrysler a few weeks ago about getting my warantee transfered into my name.
That they did but told me that the basic warranty transfered but the drive train did not.
W.T.F!!! I e-mailed him back asking why this would be when I know someone that just bought an 05' with less than 100k on it and he got a letter stating that everything was transfered.

This is his responce.
Thank you for contacting the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center
regarding your 2006 Dodge Ram.

In response to your email regarding the warranty transfer, we would like
to inform you that the transfer of the warranty depends on the
manufacturing date of the vehicle, some warranties are transferable with
or without a warranty transfer fee. However,we regret to inform you that
the 2006 Limited Powertrain Warranty on the 2006 vehicle is not
transferable.

Thanks again for your email.

Sincerely,

Stanley Keith

Now, I'm not having any issues with my truck but I would like to know that if something did ever arise I am covered.

Do I have a leg to stand on if something disasterous happened and I ended up fighting it or even get a lawyer involved (Oh God! ) with this issue? I guess I just don't understand how he can say that My 2006 limited warranty doesn't transfer when older models do???

Best thing to do is go to your truck, grab your warranty booklet out of the glove box, and READ it cover to cover and see what the fine print has to say about transferability of the separate warranties. They've been known to hide things in there before. Hope this helps and keep us posted on your findings.
