ohh an another thing they did was notice that my front housing (whole diff) is bent a bit... apparently the previous owner hit something pretty good. They tweaked it enough so the truck tracks perfect as it can.. I was pretty choked when he said it was bent, but what can u do..

So u just welded everything up solid? do u think if i did all that it would make it handle a bit better? or just make sure it all stays where its suppose to?

I dont know if it is the same problem but in my 89 diesel 3/4 tonne 4wheel drive it would have the same wobble and would only go away after you stop and then drive again. Only happened to my dad when it was his truck he said it was the steering box he changed it and it was gone.

I was told every time you lift truck that comes with trac bar you have to have offset bolt or get it threaded so you can adjust your trac bar

this is the major reason for me trading my 05 in on an 07.. I was tired of scratching my head, and throwing money in it.. some of it was warranty, and some was not.. I changed tie rod ends.. tie rods, track bars, checked stabalizers.. changed caster.. just when you thought it was gone.. bam its back.. it was lifted, with 35s, never did it before the lift, but I heard of some that had it happend to them bone stock. rrrrrrrrr

it was very frustrating, and I hope to never have to deal with it agian. My 07 is a cab and chassis flat bed, and it will NOT be modified in any way to change the front end again. ( maybe mod to get better mileage tho..lol )

we had a truck come in with the same problem we got it fixed in all it took rebuilding the track bar, new tie rods, dual stabalizers, and an alighnment but its fixed.

ive seen a similar tech release from dodge about the problem they arent totally fessing up to it and if your rig is modded at all they tell u to get bent so even if u just have lift pods and 33's take it all off before u attempt going to the dealership.

I had this same problem on my 95 ram. I replaced the track bar and the problem was solved.

Death Wobble

I just got home from Phoenix, AZ. and on the way experienced Death Wobble. I have an 07' 4x4 Quad Cab with the 6.7L. I was going 70 mph. and hit a bump on a bridge and the front end started shuttering out of control until I slowed down to about 40 mph. I only have 17k miles on the truck and the only modification is leveling spacers. Tires and wheels are original. Going in to the dealer tomorrow.

Death wobble is from something worn and having play in it, luckily I have not had it in a dodge yet, but probably will, steering stabilizers are NOT the fix nor the problem...a broken shock could be the problem but generally not, it comes from worn out tie rod ends, pitman arm, end links in general.... when they get worn and basically have no tention on them a bump can "set them off" allowing them to freely move back and forth rapidly(Death Wobble)....As we all know lifted vehicles wear more on everything front end, drive line angles, everything because it was not designed that way, something is going to be under more stress somewhere, wider taller tires and wheels wear more on the steering box, tie rod ends and everything else on the front end, I have broken and replaced so much garbage under front ends of jacked up trucks dozens of times and had death wobble on about three different trucks...I hit a stump in a Z71 and bent a tie rod end, no death wobble but alignment was hilarious, replaced it and aligned, instant death wobble, tore it back apart(cussed)and just compared new tie rod end to old one...stud on new one was slightly smaller very slightly, thus allowing a lil play, went to different part store got another tie rod end that matched exactly no death wobble....my point is there is play somewhere in the steering(ball joints-not usually, pitman arm, tie rod ends, or whatever alse might be under your truck) play could be from loose bolts or worn bushings if there are ne in the steering linkage, my point is if you replaced only steering stabilizer and think you have fixed the problem you have only bandaged it, stiffened up steering so its harder for tires to kick back and forth(left to right) thus reducing DW but still not fixin what ever is actually worn or loose...Sounds as if these front ends are junk from the factory.. I have had DW many many times on all different brands lifted and unlifted and this is what I have found, hope it helps...Sorry so long
