Bringing back an old topic here.
My MLI come on after 4800 miles. So I take it in and my receipt says "Starscan found P2A00 O2 sensor 1/1 circuit perfomance stored" "Cleared fault and idled engine to check for active fault per service info" They idled my truck for sure. I dropped it off and the overhead said 18.2 avg. MPG. I pick it up and overhead says 14.9 avg. MPG. WTF!!!

Well 200 miles later BAM light comes on again. Now I'm pissed!!! I take it to a different dealer and they tell me they have to replace the O2 module. This was supposedly replaced before I bought the truck since I bought it after Nov. 2007. Then they tell me the part is on back order for 2 weeks. WTF is this such a big problem that they cant keep up making the part that it has to be backordered???? Im glad the dealer I bought the truck from just reset the code and said screw it.

Just wondering if anyone else is having or had the same problem. I sometimes wish I would have bought a used 5.9L

Angry Let's be Honest

So let's say out load what everyone is thinking. This engine (Cummins 5.9) is one of the best ever built and Dodge really Scr%&$ed it up in making the 6.7. My brother has a '98 with the 5.9 and hasn't had an issue in nearly 300,000 miles. How many of us 6.7'ers can say that? A few I'm guessing, but not many. If I'd known then what I know now, I would have bought one of the remaining 5.9s on the lot when I bought my '07 Mega Cab 4x4. Let's just say I'm more than a little ticked off at the Dodge Truck group. Can't wait for my warranty to run out so I can do an EGR and DPF Delete.

My '06 Charger SRT-8 on the other hand is still running GREAT!

Cummins 6.7 problems

I would like to talk with anyone who is experiencing problems with 2007 or newer Dodge trucks with the 6.7 diesel engine due to soot, exhaust of turbo problems. Please email froines@yahoo.com. Thanks.

How about you just go over to the 6.7L sections? You'll find more information than you can handle on the subject. A huge amount of effort and wisdom on those pages

I have a 2008 2500 6.7 and had to have the turbo replaced after 5000 miles. The dealer said that the have been having a lot of tubo problems with the 6.7 and dodge is replacing a lot of turbos.
