VIN summary information

I would like to extend an offer to all my Cummins Forum. com buddies.

If you would like to know what recalls if any are out on your vehicle or would just like to know build information and or what applicable warranties are on your vehicle please send me a PM. I will give you the feedback you want.

Summary of information to be had is as follows:
*General discription of vehicle
*In Service Date
*Paint codes
*Complete vehicle options
*Recall information
*Selling dealer
*Warranty summary
and tons of other information that you would probably never think of.

The things I will need to know is the following:
1st: Last 9 digits of the VIN number.
2nd: The current mileage on your odometer.
3rd: I need the first 4 letters of the last name of the person that it is registered to.

I don't know if this kind of info is helpful for everyone but it might help some so just ask.

JOSH

Yes any dealer can give you the info. Technically Chrysler does not want the dealership handing out the documentation. Thats one of thier rules.

I dont have anymore info that the other dealerships have, Im jsut offering it up for convenience sake.

It is kinda cool to look at that stuff though.

What a great gift Josh. I would love to have all that information - PM on the way. I have a Miata and was able to get the same information, it has saved the day many a time in knowing the little things the build sheets have to offer. I did not have the luxury of this type of information regarding my Ford Truck - wow were parts a hassle - so many different changes all throughout their production in a year. I had to always tear something down and just take it with me when I needed to rebuild or repair. I could never outguess the parts, simple things like gaskets became a simple nightmare, dash numbers always got the best of me. Thanks Josh, really a great thing to do.

Thanks very much Josh. Good stuff to know. I am in hopes I never need the information concerning axle codes and parts!

Marc. Thanks for the offer, I still have the pickup, but it's a little past 10 years, 1989 model has 368,000 on it. All pretty much towing and farm/ranch work. I just finished going through both axles, tranny and transfer case, complete rebuild. That was my parts nightmare. I did the engine a year ago. It has been a dependable workhorse. Up until now I have not done any major repairs, just normal wear parts.
