X2, you should protect those shafts (regardless of terrian driving).

Two questions though. Why is the rear u-bolts and plate reverse and why did they include limited straps when that lift kit is not made for hard off road (really using it to cycle the suspension)? Did they have trouble in the past of coils falling out the coil bucket w/ this lift?

on the 2nds, the u-bolts are opposite the third gens..the guy down the street's lift 05 has them like you describing...its just a change they made

and the limiting straps are just part of the kit, i have no idea why they are in there, but this kit jas massive flex up front....i just in a ditch today trying to get a round a downed tree and going back up onto the road the front left tuck way up and right went way down....didnt max anything out, it was just a big, comfortable flex

and about the shafts...i dont see where you guys are coming from regarding damaged shafts

here in florida, there is no snow, salt or anything of the sort, the road are kept swpt so its tough to get any sort of grime on the truck until after its rained

found the origional measurements from before the lift lastnight

total lift achevied fromt he kit was 7 inches up front and 4.5 in the back

add tires to the equation and it sits 9 inches higher up fornt and 6.5 higher in the back...with 50 pounds of air in the tires
