what lift and tire would you do?
i have a 2007 5.9 quad cab swb 6-speed First off i would love to do an 8" long arm lift or rize lift and 37s but feel that it is a little impractical. i obviously like the little too much lift for the tire look. so my plans are to go with a 35x13.50 (ish) tire to save a little power. im debating on the mazzi hulk or kmc diesel wheels. (pretty wide offset) Also i want to do painted slotted fender flares (which seem to shrink tire and enlarge fender well) My question is which lift would you do? 4.5",5",6" i was set on 6 inch and 35s but now im wandering if the fender flares are going to make it look like i have too much lift. but if i do the 4.5 inch, will the wide tire and wide wheel and backspacing cause rubbing? then last, if i do 6 inch would the long arm kit be worth it? because removing the lower control arm bracket is a little nerve racking for only 6". thanks guys! |

It is my DD. Mainly looks but it will be used at my deer lease, crappy boat ramps, and when a friend gets stuck. the only towing i do is a small trailer with 4-wheeler, Rhino, or small flat bottom boat. I dont plan on pulling a goose neck or 5th wheel, the 2-4 times a year that i would pull a goose neck i use my dads. |

Do you want to get looks? If so 6" min & 37" and do the longarm. I have a longarm it rides great and is killer offroad. I can get 3 feet under a tire and have the other 3 on the ground. Rize does cost more but you get what you pay for. If you do a smaller lift you will want to go bigger later. I am running 42 tsl and they are just about right(not for everyone).
