Don Thuren rocks!

I just finished up my suspension from Don Thuren and Im really happy with it. He set me up with King 2.5s with stage 2 valving, custom shock towers, coils and sway bar links from Carli, res. mounts, track bar, and he has my limit straps and new control arms coming in about a week. The truck rides awesome now and Don is a great guy to deal with. He actually called me yesterday to see how the install went and to make sure I was happy with everything. Now thats what I call customer service! Anyone who is interested in a great suspension, at a reasonable price, backed by great customer service, should really give him a call. You wont be disapointed!:thumbsup

so he installed a carli suspension package for you?

did you get the upgraded leafs minipack or just the big blocks?

He didnt install it, I did. When I talked to him and told him what I wanted, he ordered the shocks from King and did a custom valving on them. We talked about coils and although he can supply his own springs, he suggested the Carli coils because they would work best with the valving on the shocks. The towers are made by Don, as well as the track bar. In the rear I used Lorenz Dual Purpouse leafs because even though I wanted a nice ride, I still wanted to be able to haul and tow once in a while. Don sells full progressive leaf packs but they are designed for a super nice ride offroad, not for hauling and towing. I talked to Don quite a bit and he helped me come up with the best set up to suit my needs. I was impressed with the fact that he could have easily talked me into buying all my stuff from him, but instead he actually recomended products from his competitors, knowing that I would be happier with the overall outcome.

Do you have any pictures and do you have rubbing with the 35's?

I dont have any pictures with my new set up but its only an inch higher than it was with the levevling kit, and I do have pictures of that if you are interested. As far as rubbing goes, thats never been an issue. Im running H2 wheels so 35s fit without rubbing even when it had no lift at all.

Can the front Fox's are actually creat too much stress on the stock upper coil buckets and tear them from the frame? Did youy reinforce these at all..........
