how big is my lift

ok I have had my truck over a year and a half now and it was lifted when I got it. I know it's around 8 inches but I want to make sure. I have 37" tires right now and they look odd almost because they r so small. so here's what I need. anyone with an 8" lift to 10" lift to measure from the bottom of their door to the ground and tell me what u measure

i meassured 27 inches but i have a 6 inch lift on 37's (80% tread) so a 8 inch should have 29 and a 10 inch lift should have 31

The easiest way i'd think is measure your coils, then get the stock coil measurement, if on oneven ground etc, your measurment could flaw an inch or 2 pretty easy. Depending on what you mean small, 37's can look small on 6" lift.

Just take a pic! Weve seen alot of lifted pics on here to be able to narrow down the lift sizes.

your not going to be able to tell the difference between 8 or 9 inches from a picture very easily.... a measurment from ppl with a true 8 inch lift and 37's will give me a good idea. basically I'm thinking about going 40's after these tires wear out.

If you have stock springs in the rear, measure the block (most off the shelf lifts use blocks for the rear lift). That will be your rear height and if there is no front rake stance on your truck. Add 2" to the blocks to get your front height. It will atleast get you in a ball park figure (very close).

Alot of lifts out there call it a 6" lift, 6" in the front and 4" in the rear for a level stance. There is roughly a 2" (maybe a tad more) difference in the rake on a stock truck.

Also see if there is a spacer in the front on top of the springs. You'll need to add that on top of the front height.

you took this measurment with the door open and where the body rolls into the floor of the cab correct? if so I measure 34" on the dot
