Sounds like control arms are to short for that much lift... Curious, what kind of lift you running? Short arm / long arm?

Probally death wobble and arms that ate too short. Were the shocks for.a 6" or 8" lift. Prob have driveline issues also track bar needed as well

Yes get your self some long arms preferably with that ride height! You need the proper track bar drop and drop pitman arm. There is a reason why things come in kits. Piecing together like you are is really not safe!

It's not that it's unsafe if done right it's argubally better. He has nothing he should have on a 6-8" "conversion". There are things you will need I think all have been mentioned. Proper lenght long arms proper track bar. He should ditch the y-link steering. Address your driveline angles. Your sway bar end links. There are a few should haves as well steering stabilizer (good one). Steering box brace get rid of the coil spacers too get 8" coils if u want to be that high
