Sounds like companies need to realize that many people drive their truck on road and heims are absolute garbage for it. And that most companies can't seem to have a quality product anymore.....Thuren's heims are no better buddy, believe whatever you want. The MAJORITY of lifted dodges are pavement pounders, and suspension companies are retarded for not knowing that. The problems i've had with mine are they made the frame end bracket wrong and refused to do anything, they told me it was the installer and I didn't know what i'm doing. So I put it in and ran it, now the frame end of the track bar is screwed. I don't really care, they will be warranty the track bar in the next few months when it is completely finished. It was the last time I will buy a suspension product with heims unless they can gaurentee they are good enough quality to stand up to street driving for more then a few months. And no, if I bought a thuren track bar I wouldn't be better off, because his heims didn't last a month in my buddies steering, and he got poor trying to keep them replaced.....

![]() They know and I know the bracket is the issue, they just don't want to admit it. I have sent them pictures and now they FINALLY admit something is wrong with the track bar, they still don't know what but do admit it is their fault. I am not saying all of their track bars are the problem, my bracket was simply made wrong and causing the issues. And maybe a few people get lucky with their heims, but they still will never see a good life compared to other joints you could use.

Spoke with the guys at pure this morning. They told me that they are now telling guys to at least tack weld the track bar bracket in place, and always make sure the hardware is tight. So my plan as of now is to take the bracket to a machine shop in the morning, and have them machine some nice thick washers that i can weld to either side of the bracket to get rid of the play. Then when i re install it i will put a tack weld on both sides. Should do the trick. I don't understand why you're saying that heims are junk. Mine have 17,000 miles on them, and i am running 22x11 wheels with 37's. I did expect them to be worn, but they are not in the least.

i havnt had a single issue with any of my stuff.... I would definately not call they're stuff crap in any way... 99% of the time holes will egg shape due to bolts backing loose..

The drop bracket can promote the egging of mounting holes. You are taking the strength of the entire stock welded bracket and now placing it on two bolts. There is a lot of force generated on the drop bracket during suspension cycling from full droop to full bump. Even if you tighten the bolts often, working your suspension hard can egg out the mounting holes of the bracket. You're right in that loose bolts will make it worse. Welding the drop bracket can help relieve some of the stress on the bolts to prevent this. I wish I had a pic of it to post. You can easily see how the stress from the track bar caused too much pressure on that one bolt causing it to egg out. once it started it got progressively worse. I have nothing against PP. They appear to have one of the better 8'' lifts out there. But they too bank on their customers not using their stuff for hardcore offroading. I mean how many people spend 35 to 50k on these trucks then drop $ on suspension to go beat the crap out of them? From the PP website... 7) Exclusive abuse proof lifetime guarantee on all hard parts. they are banking on this guarantee selling more kits than people that will actually really use their kits hard offroad and break something. Heck they even call their systems the "Pre-Runner and Desert Race systems" If you tried to do either of those things with these kits you wouldnt make it far before you would be calling trying to use that guarantee.

^ you are correct i think they are tough and can take a good amount of abuse, they just arent made to do the stuff that ppl like carli are into. That stuff is about min. height and max off road ability. Where i was more looking to balance big height with strength... I would neveer do what ive done with my truck if i still had a tuff country kit on it thats for sure....
