Well, Carli has nothing for me as I want 8". Thuren has a bit, but i've even contacted him with no reply. I am interested in buying his steering, but I want some assurance that I won't be replacing heims every month. Other then steering, i've pretty much got everything lined up. I should have the perfect 8" lift for about $2,000

Thanks for a real post, which seems to getting slim around here. I'm still undecided I really don't want to drill out my stock steering. I mean, I could get a kelderman pitman arm, all new tie rods and essenctially i'm sure i'd be just as happy. My stock steering has 80k miles and I have no complaints about it and the money i'd save on steering I could get a steering box stabilizer.

Get the stabilizer reguardless of what setup u buy.

If you had to go stock from thuren souldnt you just make sleaves to drop it back to factory diameter?

My post was real by the way!
As was my pm. I really am just trying to help you. In my opinion the thuren steering is a awsome setup. Super strong and beautifully assembled!

Great feel on or off road

O I know your trying to help, it's just many others are not. I not sure how easy it would go back to stock, however I have no intention of that, not sure if I see the lift height changing again, probably not but there is a chance. Yea I know it is a good idea for the stabilizer either way, but the money adds up so quick. I know I want to do it right but i'm going to have to cut SOME corners i'm sure. And I have no complaints about my stock steering at all 80k miles and completely original and still tight.

I will have about $1000 left after doing the basic lift to fix the front driveshaft and steering issues. So I want to spend it wisely. I guess I should be able to buy Thuren steering, steering box stabilizer, and a indexing ring.

My question is do I still need a big drop pitman arm with it? Or will the basic one from a 6" lift do? Because the Kelderman pitman arm is huge money.

I cant tell whether your being sarcastic or not. You've been talking about thuren's steering this whole thread and about replacing heims. Im just letting you know I've had no issues with mine. If your post is serious then ok, otherwise you're an .

Alright Mocho, here is some helpful info. I have roughly 9.5 inches of lift, and I am using Tuff Country's 3-7 inch pitman arm.
