Yeah it should be very similar in theory! Strtlgl has a great system, it is a Thuren long arm and super sweet coils and carli long travel rear end with Fox 3's it's a 6 inch system that started with a KORE tech series. I am pretty sure that his setup kills it!!! But tht is the stuff that pushes the progression.

come on now, lets see some more pics of the setup. I've been watching more and more videos online of some bada** prerunners and some of them pulling the good ol three wheel turns is pretty cool.

I want my truck to suck up the bumps like Mikes........just awesome!

strtlegal...

What are the positives and negatives of a setup like yours (utilizing different parts from different vendors) vs the Carli 6" setup...?

Its a little bit harder to tune. Using the same spings/shocks from one company makes it easier to set up perfectly for your desired use since thats what their R&D is based on. Carli designs their standard valving profiles around their springs. Mikes offroad valving on Kore springs might be a little to stiff or carli/thuren springs on non valved Kore fox shocks might be lacking their full potential.

that being said Mike and Don know eachothers as well as Kore and Lorenz set ups pretty well so they can tune to just about anything.

another thing to consider is Kore, Carli and Thuren shock towers are all different heights so shock length, bumpstops and limit straps will have to be modified accordingly.

There is no negatives on mine..lol I've learned alot from both Don and Sage, Im really the only private guy that has their latest and greatest stuff on my truck, If Sage said next week he could crame a Blackhawk shock under the front of my truck next week I would buy it. So for me its been a great experience with these guys.

The only reason why my truck is a hybrid is at the time Carli was content with there 3" system, because you have to change a few things to get equal travel on a taller truck as compared to a normal 3" lifted truck ( yes, I said taller had less travel).

I can give feed back to both these guys that most caint, I was the first and only one in the counrty that has as much travel with a super soft spring, I was Don's mule, and it worked. Im the second person to have Carli's long travel springs, besides Mike himself.

I started out years ago with a Kore race system then went to their taller tech system but when the shocks werent up to snuff Sage took care of me, and then when my spring flew out of its bucket from the radius arms, Don was there to rescue me with longer springs..

All in all no negatives, except I've probably spent alot of time and money on mixed match stuff that all of us have had to scratch our heads to, so for the normal person pick one or the other,, and go complete!

Carli 6"

All of you guys keep hammering on Sage and Mike to get this kit out. I can't wait to get one on my truck and then be able to offer a lift that actually rides nice to customers. I have the 2.0 now and it's awesome. Just want a little more height.

I can only speak for myself, when I say that I keep on hammering on about this topic because I cannot wait until it is released. Im finding myself checking carli's website at least once a day, hoping to find any new information about the kit.

Jesse told me that it is still going to be awhile since they are still trying to get the lower ball joints to market and catch up on everything else in general.

At least this dismal economy is being good to those who build a great product and take care of their customers.
