YouTube - 2008 SEMA Dodge Mega Cab One Up Offroad

One Up Offroad

My Buddy in La Vernia near San Antonio has the second kit from OUO. If work is not a issue I will be hauling it to SEMA this year, He has it in the Bush Whacker Booth.

But Chet's truck, (the one above) also from San Antonio (I think La Vernia also) is pulling the leafs out and OUO is setting it up for Coil Overs in the rear. They had a bit of a issue with the kit in the dunes after SEMA but that could be expected as it was the first kit that they did.

Here is the Kat that painted Chet's Mega

This is Drew's truck that he is building up for SEMA. Nothing very special as he has a long way to go. MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/215428657

16'' of lift on 40'' tires with 22'' wheels isnt the best set up for high speed offroading in the dunes but I for one thinks it looks pretty good. I did come from a Ford background with 12'' of lift on 40'' tires.

Do you have any pics of you jumping that Ford?

Or your ranger for that matter?

Nope...dont really have pics of my ranger any of my offroad toys for that matter. Never take the time to stop offroading to get "action" shots or youtube videos and post them up all over the internet. Only did quick ones on here because so many people were interested in the build. Heck I dont even own a digital camera. If you want to see them in action I'll be out in Glamis every month next season.

While I do have a certain respect for how high OUO is lifting these trucks and still making them usable. They in no way perform as well as a offroad truck designed to do so. You cant tell me you need 16'' of lift becuause you need that much suspension travel hitting whoops at 50mph? Or that you're running 40'' toyo MTs on 22'' KMC wheels is for better floatation in the sand. The truck is designed to be big and look flashy first and foremost. In that regard consider it a success.

Drew told me what they broke but I don't remember. i do remember it was something that just needed more support. A little stronger I suppose. But anybody that takes a truck that big with a kit that tall in the dunes is ballsy. But for it to handle it is impressive, more impressive to see a truck with a 3" do the same thing

I believe it was the stock towers they were using (broke). Atleast one of the things that was mentioned waaaaay back in this thread.

ya it was the shock towers but it was the first dodge ever built by ouo.it was corected and chet now has a set of updated towers.and every kit that is being produced by ouo will have the improved towers.the truck has progressed alot since the pictures u will see on my myspace.its getting close.
