I think a 6-8 lift is perfect if its a really well thought out kit like Carlis or Kores. And i understand why you want 4 doors. Those megacabs are sweet too.
6-8" would have to come from sprison and the price is about the same. the biggest lift from carli/lorenz/thruen/kore is 5" and it stuffs 37s

Bigblue24v if you want to get rid of your lift in the future I wouldn't mind taking it off your hands if the price was right.

the only thing im not sure about is the track bar relocation bracket is welded...so dont really know what to do. plus the lift is kind of a selling point if you know what I mean

Practical is BORING!! Ive always wanted a huge truck. Why? Why not? Is it a rock crawler? No. So what...its a truck. Built right, theres absolutely no reason a truck like that couldnt be driven to a trail, driven off road, and driven back home. Now some trails have overhead obstacles (trees) that would bust the windshield out and scratch the hell out of the paint. Still can be used in mud, snow, sand, anywhere you need some clearance between the ground and the axles. Is mine lifted? No. Why? cause I know Id be back on barely-larger-than-stock tires on a huge lift and look like a doofus. I simply cant afford the big tires right now. Course I cant afford the speed parts either, but thats a seperate issue...

You only live once. Soon enough a woman will be in your life runnin the show (from what I hear) and you know damn well she aint gonna let you have a big truck til she gets that Benz (or a $20k purse...WTF??) so you might as well do it while your young. Atleast now you can climb in the dang thing. Dont wait till your in your 50s, only to find out, k I have my dream truck, but Im too fat and out of shape to get up in the SOB...my 2 cents

everyone has what they like.

there were the guys on the west coast with the 8+" lifts on 33" tires that were really wide that i really didnt care for at all. but I didnt go and bash on them.

Im sure your truck suits your needs and thats whats imprtant:thumbsup

Blue, you had such a good plan going before you saw this, what happened? Belive me I'm all for spending it while your young and you can but this is a little over the top bud. Belive me I'm 28 and just got married and flushed all my play money down the toilet for a while. Your gonna need more reliability for school work ect. And think a out all the money your gonna dump in it and everyone knows when it comes time these trucks don't sell. Even if they were trailer queens and not used. Food for thought if you want a newer truck build something more practical, you've done your research you know what it takes. Then save your money and build something crazy for fun that you don't have to rely on day in and day out. Just food for thought from someone that's been down that path.
