I'd say a 6.7L cause you're warranty will be gone after the lift anyway, so might as well do the deletes too, and at least you'd have a decent tranny to handle the added stress of the lift and don't let anyone tell you there isn't any added stress caused by the lifts, i think a dpf delete is around $1,000 so it's not cheap either but after it's done it'll all be good i think, can't wait to see if you do it

no it doesnt, that kit is focused around people who "need" to have the tallest truck on the mall crawling scene.

for anyone who wheels a vehicle, knows a fullsize truck is usually too big to start.

and the best way to set up a suspension is less ride hight/up travel and more droop. you can have the same amount of travel as that 16" kit has, with only 6" of lift.

playing in the mud is a different story.

I think the majority of guys with these type of lifts and actually wheel in them also have incredibly deep pockets and another vehicle to drive while the jacked up truck is in the shop every week with broken parts due to the weekend of hard wheeling, mine is a mall parking lot queen i'll admit it and i can't even get parts to last and I only have 24k on the odometer. I love the lift and the looks but I'm realizing as I age(21) getting old haha that they aren't very practical as a daily driver.

the only added stress to the tranny is more weight of the bigger tires. and yes that is a bunch of stress!!!!

its not bad looking for a show truck, but that thing would be on its roof in about 8 minutes off road

trust me Im not rich. Its taken me a long time to build my truck and its still not done. I got tired of snapping 14 bolts and dana 60's thats why I bought 2.5 ton rockwells. With a mud truck there is always a weak link, you just have to figure out where it is, or the mud will find it for you. LOL

there's a reason you don't see trucks lifted that high on the interstate very often, it's because they tipped over on the on ramp and never made it on the road I do know a guy who pulls a trailer with his 12" lift and 40" tires on his 2007 IFS Chevy, uses it as his daily driver, goes on the interstate, etc, it is a pavement pounder and he has the pockets to fix it when it breaks and i do believe the first week he had it the front driveline was out of alignment and cause some serious damage to the transfer case, out pocket cost him $3000+ to fix, stuff breaks more frequently on heavily modified vehicle, I love em to death but I've learned the hard way to many times and can't afford these type of mistakes anymore, not in today's economy that is

In my experience even the regular old pavement will find that weak link

for a truck that gets driven 15k a year, never tows anything, spends half its time off the road but not getting beat on or wheeled or at the beach, and the other half of the time its parked or going down 45mph roads/straight level florida interstate or parked getting gawked at, there isnt alot that will cause alot of stress.

Its very unlikely that I do/can afford to go this route but in the event that i managed to there would be 5.13 gears in the back axle so it holds onto alot of the torque and saves the mileage.

the kit include transfer case drop brackets and crossmembers, and guarantees correct driveangles to prevent stress and vibration. the center part of the kit is the new crossmeber for the transfer case. I do believe they have taken every stop here to fix all the angles

my favorite truck from the sema pics. the "off road use only" is a liability issue for DOT. If you want to see trucks rolling 40's, towing toy haulers, playing in the sand, check out Glamis at New Years. There everywhere. Are they highway pounders? Hell ya! Can you still get it done and mob an on ramp? hell ya!
