you dont even need the ram assist to stop the bump steer the geometry of the system is correct and it does not push against the sterring box
I would get a steering stab at the very least

just out of curiosity, what lift manufacturer are you using?

as I may have said in one of my very long responses, there are several common contributing factors.

These trucks are MADE for work not to lift 16 inchs in the air and roll on some 40's. I just still don't get why you would want something like a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck to offroad in when you can get little trucks or jeeps that will perform alot better offroad. I am not trying to bash your idea bigblue24v...but its just the way i see things but to each their own so if you want to do it go for it man it will look sick and i feel bad for anyone around you on the road that cuts you off

you have to find the humor in your own post that you contributed blowing tranny's to lifting, and tire size but neglected to mention the handful of other mods you have. thats my point. and I call B.S. on spending the cash on a programmer then never using it isn't that just what you guys are all telling this guy to do....not to spend his money on something he can't use....

back to the purpose.....my buddy just put ram assist on his super that he's runnin 38's on and it made an amazing difference. spendy, but worth it. eliminated all of his terrible steering issues he had.

insurance + fuel for one vehicle consumes enough money. My truck never gets worked, never tows...unless you consider a 4 wheeler, few bales of pine neeedles, a pallet of rocks one time, and some firwood from time to time working a truck.

mostly I jsut wanted the cummins reliability, tunability, and power, and there are three things right there that would keep me from buying a little truck.

also, one money pit is bad enough...two money pits at 17?

It all depends on what you define off road as. Me i define off road as me and a bunch of my buddies, all with lifted full size trucks, go down to the powerlines and play in the mud. These powerlines have some serious mud holes too. Dont even think about going in there without at least 44" tires. Little trucks just wont cut it!!!

well..then agian, if the steering geometry is right, there isnt a need for ram assist, just a simple steering stab. at most.

i think the thing to do would be to see how this kit turns out and then go from there. also, i am interested in hearing how the testing and tuning turns out and that will be a good indicator of what is necessary

there are alot of little things required to release steering stress as well as driveline strss that the TGC it doesnt address. like I said, it is a kit designed to make the truck taller with a good ride on the road

trust me i know about the money situation bc im only 19 myself and frankly I do not know how you got that truck with that nice lift and tire combo. I have a hard enough time just keeping my head above water with my payments and insurance. but good luck with whatever route you decide to take and if/when you get a mega with that lift you will have to come up here to ga and well go ride around in that beast
