Ive got to be in and around Ft. Jackson to get some training on some new equipment I'm getting and bringing back to the shop I work at.

been quite a few years since Ive been there(basic training)

where are some good places to get some grub and down a few frosty beverages???

and no I will not eat on post, I'm going as a tech so per diem is authorized

if you like BBQ look up maurice's piggy park, there is like 5 but try to find the original, it's the best.

If you want some great southern food I would highly suggest Mr. Friendly's in 5-points, link below. It's a little on the pricey side but they have a small bar with a lot of different beers and the food is unbelievable.

Liberty is a great place in the vista to hang out and grab a few beers and their food is good too.
