Dose anybody know what the largest tire you can run on a dually with a leveling kit and not having to run a wide wheel spacer? Its about time for new tires and i want to go bigger.

I've seen 3rd Gen duallys on Ebay for sale running 315/70/17's.I wouldn't think the spacer would have to be to wide.

Im getting ready to get some 315's myself, and all you need is a leveling kit and a 2.5" spacer. I saw some on e-bat for like $80.00.

Tire size conversion chart

There are several places you can google to convert tire sizes and measure what you think will fit on your truck.

Try taking a tape measure and find the distance between the two rear tires. This is how much wider you could go on one tire( I would have said devide this measurement by two but you can assume that the new larger tire will grow equally on both sides of the rim.) You'll have to convert inches to millimeters unless you have a metric tapemeasure.

Remember that the first number in the tire size is the number of mm's wide. The second number is the % of that width that the sidewall measures. And, of course the final number is the rim diameter.

I've been told over the years of dealing with dually trucks that you don't really want the tires to rub each other because of heat and uneven loading under the weight of a load but I've seen plenty of people with tires that touch each other
