South Bend Clutch

As you all know my double disc clutch has broke in my truck!!! I called Peter at SBC yesturday and explained to him that the pressure plate fingers had bent by the throwout bearing!! So he said he would send me a new clutch!! No questions asked!! If that aint a good warranty!! I dont know what one is!!! So I highly recomend SBC for all your clutch needs!!! Thanks Peter!!

Will, have you gotten the clutch out of the truck yet? Did Peter have any explanation on why this happened?

I'm the one that had the only Gasser on Diesel dyno day. I was shocked any of you guys cared about my ride. Next time I need to bring the work truck!
later, Tucker

Tucker. . .we may be diesel guy's. . .but were also gear heads. dropping a LS1 into a truck like that is going to get some attention

This is why we use SBC's in both trucks.

Had a problem once and Peter sent a new clutch overnight at his expense.

I sent the old clutch back and he emailed back the dampener springs were not tempered as they should have been.

Ok I got a update on Clutch #2!!! When I pulled the tranny out tonight i found that the clutch pack closes to the flywheel--the center where it splines to the input shaft--was just about wore the heck out!! The pressure plate was also screwed up with some button broke!! the pressure plate clutch pack looked good with just a normal wear!! I have a new pressure plate from SBC but I need a hole new clutch flywheel and all!!! and I have to put a new input shaft in my tranny bc the splines have a wear place from the worn clutch pack!! Which sucks bad!!!! But I will get it done!!
