Exclamation Dyno Day Anyone?

Okay guys, I am trying to get a couple of guys together in the upstate for a Dyno Day. I'm just beginning to put this thing together. Most of the shops I've talked to are willing to do a flat rate for th whole day. As many pulls as you like! Just curious to see how many people are interested. It's probably going to end up being in either Easley, or Anderson. Lemme Know!

I might be interested. Got any more rate info? Ideas on when you are planning? I went to one with the GA. boys and it was a good time. I didn't dyno, but I may this time. We could also post on the Georgia forum and see if they wanna play too.

One shop I have talked to said he would do it for $275.00 for the whole day. That shop was in Mauldin. The only thing with him though is he said he had no way to hook his dyno to a Diesel truck. Something about the RPM feed. He has to hook it to his computer, and he didn't know how. He was very busy when I talked to him. As far as when, I'm trying to see how many people are interested first!!

Nick, I actually work in Mauldin for one of the local utility companies as a diesel tech. I am going to ask around to some more of the local shops with dynos. Thanks to this months Diesel Power Magazine, I have a listing of the shops in the upstate. I will let you know when I have more info.

Called Hawks Third Gen today. That guy is crazy!!! I told him that we would probably get about 15-20 trucks to do the dyno day, and he was all like, " My parking lot will not accomodate that many trucks at one time. Your guys will have to park in the street."
So I was okay with that, then he told me that we would have to do ALL the strapping, AND ALL the hooking up that was required to do the dyno run. All of this is on top of the $1600.00 he wants for a dyno day!! But if we wanted to bring our trucks there individually, he wants $50-$75 per vehicle. I'm gonna try to find someone else with a little more personality!!

Wow that guy is crazy. Yea I would keep looking. We had around 7 trucks run at our dyno day abd the guy charged 75 dollars per truck for as many runs as you wanted. He also did all the strapping and such. Heck of a nice guy to.

I used to live right off Mauldin Rd just behind Hitachi when I first moved to SC. Then I got smart and moved to Piedmont.

Tread, do you remember anything about the tachometer hook up from the day in Warner Robbins?

The guy that ran our dyno had an RPM calculating program on his dyno. What we had to do was sett our truck at a certain RPM and he would set the computer from that. The Right way to do it is to have a sensor that hooks up the cam position sensor on the truck. That will give you an accurate reading
