Okay, giving an update. Talked to the guy in Mauldin again today. He said again that if we can come up with a way for him to get an RPM signal for his computer, he will do a dyno day for us. He seems to be very acomodating and has plenty of parking. Not to mention that he will do it for less than $500.00 for the whole day! It doesn't matter how many trucks we have!! I think this guy will be the way to go!!!!!!

Did you read the post at the top of this page. The guy we used in GA was able to get the rpm by the driver setting his truck on a certain rpm and then giving a signal. The dyno operator then started the run on the dyno and bam, we had results. You wanna ask the guy in Mauldin if he can do it this way?

Carolina, any news yet? I was at Commerce on the 8th, they had a mobile dyno there the had a sensor they hooked up under the truck. They installed a piece of white tape on the damper and I guess the sensor had an eye that used the tape as a reference for RPM. Anyway my quad XZT is backon the truck and I would like to get on a dyno.

Nick,
Sorry, but I've been tied up here at home with side work. I still haven't had a chance to get by there yet, but I am planning on going by there by the end of the week WITH my truck to see if we can get something figured out. I PROMISE I'll let you all know as soon as I do. Then we can all get together and see when we can schedule this thing, and I should have more info on the overall cost!! Till then, keep the info coming on other ways to get an RPM signal!!

I would be up for joining in the fun too. Especially after my new tranny parts. Just make sure he is one of the shops that will let you run stacks if the dyno is inside. For some reason, that was a no go at the meet in NC.

Okay, here's the latest. Went by and spoke with him about the RPM feed. He does not have the optical feed for his dyno, so thats out. I asked him if he had time to mess with it, and again he said he was super busy at the time. Said to check back later. I don't know if it's just me or not, but I'm beginning to think he doesn't want to mess with this at all. I'm going to make some more calls and see if I can find someone else that will be reasonable in price.

Alright guys, here it is. I called some places around here and I had success!!!! Place in Anderson said they have PLENTY of parking, willing to accomodate more than 60 trucks with parking, and has provisions for a diesel truck. The cost is $50.00 for 2 pulls. If you bring a gas car or truck, if you want an air/fuel pull, that is $25.00. Now it's time to see how many people are in. I've got to call them back and reserve a day. If you're interested, please send me a PM with a confirmation, and how many trucks/people you will be bringing. I figure afterwards, we can all get together and go to Charlie T's for some brews and a good ole' fashioned B.S. session!
Lemme Know,
Brian
